Electricity Bill Calculator

WAPDA slab-wise bill estimate with full breakdown.

✓ Rates verified: October 2026

About this calculator

Estimating your electricity bill before it arrives is easier than decoding the paper bill itself. This calculator takes the units consumed on your meter and runs them through Pakistan's slab-based tariff system — the same stepped rates used by LESCO, IESCO, FESCO, MEPCO, HESCO, PESCO, SEPCO and K-Electric — so you see roughly how the final amount is built up.

Beyond the slabs, it explains the parts of the bill that confuse most people: fuel price adjustment (FPA), quarterly tariff adjustments, sales tax, the fixed TV licence fee and other surcharges. Whether you are checking a sudden jump in your bill, comparing two months, or budgeting for a new appliance, the estimate helps you plan your power use instead of guessing.

How to use

  1. Read the units from your meter or copy the 'units consumed' figure from your last bill.
  2. Enter those units and choose whether you are a protected or non-protected consumer.
  3. Review the slab-by-slab breakdown, plus FPA, taxes and surcharges added automatically.
  4. Compare the estimate with your actual bill to spot errors or unexpected jumps.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is this bill estimate?

It is a close estimate based on the current notified slab tariffs, standard surcharges and common taxes. The final bill can differ slightly because fuel adjustments and government levies change month to month, so treat it as a planning figure, not an official bill.

What is a protected vs non-protected consumer?

A protected consumer has used under 200 units for the last six months and pays lower slab rates. If you cross 200 units in any of those months, you move to non-protected rates, which is why one heavy month can raise your bill for months afterwards.

What is fuel price adjustment (FPA)?

FPA passes changes in fuel costs to consumers and appears as a separate line on your bill. It can be positive or negative and varies every month, which is why bills with identical units can still differ month to month.
