Scientific Calculator
Full keypad: trig, logs, powers & roots.
About this calculator
Sometimes a phone calculator is not enough — exam prep, engineering homework and lab work need trig, logarithms, powers and proper parentheses. This scientific calculator provides a full keypad with all of them, right in the browser.
It evaluates with a purpose-built tokenizer and parser (never raw code execution), supports nested parentheses, powers like x² and xʸ, square roots, sin/cos/tan in degrees, log base 10, natural log, and the constants π and e.
How to use
- Tap the digit and operator keys to build your expression.
- Use ( ) for grouping and ^ or xʸ for powers.
- Tap sin, cos, tan, log or ln for functions (angles in degrees).
- Press = for the answer; C clears, ⌫ deletes the last key.
Frequently asked questions
Are trig functions in degrees or radians?
Degrees, which is what most school and everyday problems expect.
Does it follow order of operations?
Yes — powers first, then multiplication/division, then addition/subtraction, with parentheses overriding as usual.
What is the difference between log and ln?
log is base 10 (common log) and ln is base e (natural log), matching standard scientific calculators.
